Hello and welcome to the Amazing Multi Purpose Bench of Capitol Hill (AMPB) Sale Extravanganza...
This once handcrafted* limited edition** piece of exquisite furniture has graced our condo for a while now, in fact it even graced our old condo so it has longevity on its side already... not to mention being as sturdy as a 400 pound sumo wrestler. It is still as good as it was when released from its Cost Plus imposed prison.
Now the reason for the multi purpose comment is several-fold. You may think this is just a bench for parking your work weary backside but, oh no, you would be mistaken.
Some of the other uses for the AMPB include:
* Beautiful foot of the bed decoration
* Useful storage facility to hold piles of clothes you can't be bothered to put away
* Secret hidout of Super Benson Wonder Dog Extroardinaire (you may have heard of him, see below for pics)***
* Fun hidey hole for Super Benson
* Not so fun hidey hole for Super Benson when he's scared
* Safe haven from loud noises, fireworks, strangers and nuclear explsions (see previous use)
* Climbing frame for the easily amused
'How much for such a wondrous piece of home furniture??!?!' I hear you cry '$500???' HA! you are wrong my AMPB loving readers... a mere crisp $100 dollar bill will make you the proud owners of a superheroes ex hideout.. How much do you think the batcave is worth? eh?
Anyway... We had a nice cloth cover on it that was just plain in color so it can fit in any environment making it the 'amazing multi purpose safe haven chameleon bench'. It was not proffessionally installed, more loosely placed over it, so the integrity of the AMPB has never ever been compromised. Carfax clean if you will. I personnally like the pattern on it but hey, you do with it what you will. The clothy substance covering it is very hard wearing and has put up with absolutely no abuse whatsoever from us apart from laundry(clean!!) being kept on it.
The reason the amazing multi purpose safe haven chameleon bench has to depart our lives is due to the condo we own... the condo is a massive 750sq feet. The quite spectacular bench is simply too huge, but then again so is a shoe box.
It measures approximately 54inchs long by 18inchs wide and rising in a graceful arc to 24inchs high in the middle. It is taking up a large area that could other wise be occupied with expensive hi fi equipment.
I have attached pictures below for your enjoyment. Please note Super Benson proudly stood in the protective aura of the bench. Should you be lucky enough to be the first to the bench you will be of course helped to the door by a crotch sniffing dog who will undoubtedly be scared stupid of you.
I on the other hand will help you carry it down. Heck, for a costco sized box of goldfish crackers and a oatmeal and raisin cookie I'll deliver it in the Seattle area... ish...
